Council approves Oshkosh Street roadway plans and preliminary assessments; crosswalk, lateral assessments cleared for construction

The Common Council voted to approve roadway plans for Oshkosh Street and to recommend preliminary special-assessment resolutions covering sanitary and water lateral work, council records and Board of Public Works reports show.

The action follows multiple Board of Public Works meetings in which Director of Public Works Garski reviewed engineers’ block-by-block plans for Ashcroft Street and Oshkosh Street and discussed crosswalks and stormwater, alignment and intersection standardization. "There will be a crosswalk on Oshkosh Street at Wolf River Avenue intersection. We are working through grade issues, but we will have a receiving area on the east side of the intersection," Director Garski said during a December 9 Board of Public Works meeting.
