The Board of Public Works presented and the council approved an agreement with Mid State for crushing and removal of concrete and asphalt stored at 740 River Road. Under the agreement, Mid State will haul and take possession of the crushed material for its use at no cost to the city.
The Board said the removal would free space currently occupied by old debris. The committee recommended approval; the council motion carried 8-0 after a motion by Mr. Hess and a second by Mr. Barrington.
The agreement is limited to removal and transfer of the material and does not obligate the city for disposal costs under the terms presented at the meeting.
