A district representative told the board the audit found the policy lacked federal‑compliant language requiring the superintendent or the superintendent’s designee to report in writing any potential conflict of interest related to a federal award to the federal awarding agency or pass‑through entity. The amendment adds that sentence and incorporates minor PSBA regulatory updates.
The board moved and approved the policy update by voice vote; no public objections were recorded. Administration said the change ensures the district’s policy aligns with the federal awarding agency’s requirements and with PSBA model language.
