SAUCON VALLEY, Pa. — The Saucon Valley School Board on July 9 tabled proposed revisions to policy 409, the district’s policy on assignments and transfers of employees, after extended debate over a May 15 notice deadline in the teacher contract, how the word “assignment” should be defined and whether the draft properly preserved teacher‑specific protections.

Board members said the draft combined three existing policies (309, 409 and 509) into a single, district‑wide “employees” policy.
