John Carnifax, county staff, presented a resolution and supporting memorandum saying staff had evaluated four candidate sites for the planned fire station and recommended the Richmond Road parcel as the preferred location. Supervisors moved the resolution and the roll-call vote recorded ayes by Ms. Larson, Mr. Hippel, Mr. McLennan, Ms. Null and Chair Jim Eisenhower; the motion carried.
Staff said the parcel will be used for site selection and initial planning; design funding is in the FY30 planning allocation (as previously discussed). The board did not debate financing at this meeting; staff will return with design and funding recommendations as the project moves toward formal design and construction procurement.
