The finance committee on July 21 approved a request from Library Director Judith Wright to declare miscellaneous library items surplus, including older iPads, computer parts and hard drives that staff said were replaced through capital and routine refreshes.
Wright provided a list of the items to committee members; staff said the items are mainly obsolete technology and would be sold or otherwise disposed of under the city’s surplus property procedures.
Motion and vote: Mr. Brandt moved to approve the surplus list; Mr. Harden seconded. The committee approved the surplus declaration 3-0.
Action: Library staff to follow surplus property procedures to sell or dispose of listed items.
