The Alpharetta City Council unanimously awarded a five-year on-call electrical services contract to Muir Electric after staff reported Muir ranked highest in the city’s competitive RFP evaluation. Director of Public Works Morgan Rogers told council two firms submitted proposals and Muir led in every category, including price.
"Muir was by far in every category, was was, the best including price," Rogers said, adding Muir has provided on-call service for the city for the past five years and staff is comfortable continuing the relationship. Councilman Heitz moved to approve the contract award for RFP 25-117 and authorize the mayor to execute documents; Councilman Brady seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
Rogers said Muir’s familiarity with city operations and performance under the prior contract were important factors in the recommendation.
