City approves surveying contracts with Sawgrass Consulting for Cemetery Road and wider drainage design

Connor also presented a separate Sawgrass contract for surveying and engineering services linked to a broader drainage improvement project covering Driftwood Lane, Stanton Road and Walling Road; he said the proposed agreement is for $63,000 and included a map showing the work area. Council discussion called particular attention to flooding near the Stanton Road location and a dilapidated building where higher water levels were reported. The council adopted the resolution to authorize that contract.
Both items were presented as professional-service agreements attached to resolutions; the contracts will move forward under the city's procurement and project management processes.
