Planning board continues Bailey subdivision hearing to Aug. 11 as applicant lacks town letters

The town Planning Board continued the public hearing on Bailey’s subdivision application to Aug. 11, the board said at the start of its meeting. "The public hearing, for Bailey's request is being continued to August 11," a board member said. Board members said Bailey is assembling a complete package but has not yet provided some required documents. "And the only thing he told me he's really missing so far right now is the letters from the town officials that he need. He hasn't gathered all those yet. The the letter from the police chief, the highway, highway regulation," the same board member said. The board recorded that Bailey has secured subdivision approval and septic permitting are in process or approved, and that the applicant is aiming to present a full package prior to the next hearing. A board member said Bailey intends to have materials ahead of the meeting, and the board discussed the timeline and whether the hearing should be closed and re-opened if materials are not ready. Separately, the board approved the minutes from the previous meeting and noted there was one extension on the docket; board members did not discuss the project further because the hearing was continued. "So we won't talk about the project anymore because we're not having a hearing tonight," a board member said. The board did not set further conditions in the record at this meeting beyond continuing the hearing; it instructed staff to carry the matter on the agenda for Aug. 11 and monitor receipt of the required letters from town officials.
