Lori, a county staff member responsible for the program, said the DNR made funds available and county staff are prepared to begin work in August if the county board approves the budget amendment.
Vice Chair Marshall moved to accept the grant and Supervisor Poole seconded; the committee approved the motion unanimously.
Next steps: administration will finalize the budget amendment, coordinate grant tasks with landowners and DNR, and return when necessary with project updates.
