Hagerstown council approves multiple leases, grants and contracts in July session

The Mayor and City Council of Hagerstown on July 22 approved multiple resolutions and contract renewals covering parking leases, operating agreements, grant acceptances and contractor services.

The council voted to enter a three‑year parking lease with the State of Maryland Department of Juvenile Services for 14 undesignated parking spaces in the University District parking deck at 25 North Potomac Street; to approve a one‑year operating agreement with Hagerstown Ice Amateur Athletic Association Inc. for the ice rink at 580 Security Road; and to authorize a five‑year electric vehicle charging services agreement with the Electric Vehicle Institute for four fast chargers at 14 North Potomac Street with the city receiving 50% of net revenue.

Other approvals included renewal of two speed‑camera contracts, acceptance of multiple state grant awards, and authorization to execute revised subrecipient agreements for the Main Street Startup Grant Program.
