Board approves licensed and administrator hires, promotes executive director of teaching and learning

The Gresham-Barlow School Board approved a slate of recommended licensed staff and administrator hires for the 2025–26 school year at its June 18 meeting.

Interim Superintendent John Cook (presenting the personnel report) said the hires will fill vacancies across the district and that administrative hiring in the finance department is now complete, although some accounting assistant positions remain open. The board also acknowledged a promotion for Hailey Lascher to executive director of teaching and learning.

Board member Holly Regalman moved to approve the recommended list of licensed and administrator hires for 2025–26; Chris Howitt seconded. Directors voted aye and the motion passed. During discussion staff corrected a listed full‑time‑equivalent (FTE) entry to 0.7 for a position shown in the packet.

Staff said the hires include replacements for existing positions and that Michelle Cook will continue in a named role. No individual salary or contract amendments were made during the public portion of the meeting.
