Director of Operations John Simpson and department leads updated the board on nutrition, technology, transportation and facilities work at the June 11 meeting.
Nutrition: Lori Dyson reported the district submitted Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) applications to the Oregon Department of Education; if approved, all students would receive free breakfast and lunch without individual meal applications. Simpson said kitchen staff served about 185,000 meals districtwide this school year and that a wellness policy assessment is underway and expected to be complete by June 20.
