Courtney Jackson, chairman of the Board of Education Audit Committee, called for a motion July 22 to convene an executive session under the New Mexico Public Meetings Act, section 10-15-1(H)(2), to discuss limited personnel matters in connection with activity fund audits.
Board member Heather Benavides moved the motion and Josefina Dominguez seconded. No further details about the personnel matters were disclosed in open session. The chair directed those not participating in the executive session to leave the meeting; the committee said it would reconvene in open session after the executive session concluded.
