Boone County staff recommended and the board approved plans July 21 for a combined TownePlace Suites and SpringHill Suites hotel development on a 3.2‑acre lot at the roundabout on Perryworth Road and Junior’s Way, subject to final Surveyor’s Office approval.
Staff said the site is part of a master‑planned drainage arrangement: internal drives and parking will direct stormwater to a rear storm sewer trunk line designed to route runoff to the detention basin built with the neighboring apartment complex. Engineers reviewed calculations and plans and found they meet county stormwater ordinance standards with only minor plan items remaining.
The board approved the hotel plans as presented; staff requested the developer address the minor items and return final plans for Surveyor’s Office signoff before permits are issued.
