Board approves small Chipotle restaurant site in Meijer parking lot, finds no net runoff change

Boone County staff presented plans for a roughly 2,400‑square‑foot Chipotle restaurant to be built in the Meijer parking lot on Whitestown Parkway and recommended approval after reviewing stormwater adjustments to existing onsite storm sewer lines.
Engineers said because the parcel is currently pavement, converting it to a building with attendant drives will not change runoff volumes materially; stormwater quality and detention measures were already provided as part of the larger Meijer development. Staff reviewed plans and calculations and found they meet county stormwater ordinance standards. The board approved the Chipotle plan as presented.
The approval is administrative; developers must still complete any final technical submittals required by the Surveyor’s Office before building permits are issued.
