Ryan Stojoff, a resident of Oakmont Drive, asked the Village Board to waive rental and lighting fees and a late fee for his group’s fourth annual community kickball game. Stojoff said the event serves about 264 children, provides free T-shirts to the first 50 kids, free ice cream to attendees and raffles supplied by local businesses; this year he said the event will include a local kids’ live band.

Stojoff said he collects about $5 per participant and converts that money into gift cards and event supplies. He asked that the board waive fees so that more funds can go directly to gift cards and event activities.

The board placed the waiver on the consent agenda; the consent agenda was approved by motion and voice vote, which included the fee-waiver item.
