The Board of Supervisors approved July 22 the county’s annual contract with the State of Nebraska for juvenile detention services.
Ryan Webber, juvenile detention staff, said the county has a standing contract and that Nebraska pays $204 per day for placements; out‑of‑state usage provided revenue generation, with counties bringing the detention facility more than $100,000 in the past year, Webber said. The board voted 5–0 to approve the contract.
The contract is routine and the board took no further amendment.
