On July 1, 2025, the Anderson City Board of Public Works approved change orders to existing paving and crack-sealing contracts to cover additional asphalt, crack sealing and sidewalk repairs.
Chief Engineer House recommended acceptance of change orders to the contract with DC Construction for CCMG 20 24 2 and CCMG 20 25 paving, totaling $45,572.03 and $39,053.07 respectively. The engineer said those changes addressed additional asphalt required to correct an unlevel road surface after milling on Locust Street, to improve the road profile on Sixtieth Street, and for concrete sidewalk repair on MLK.
The board also approved change orders to a contract with Pavement Solutions for crack-sealing work of $23,999.70 and $33,191.40, described as additional crack seal for MLK and additional crack sealing on other roads originally included in a 2018 paving contract. A motion to approve the change orders was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Combined, the four change orders add $141,816.20 to the affected contracts. The board recorded the change orders as approved and the items will be added to the contract records for payment and project accounting.
