The administrator said the hangar project at the Beatrice Municipal Airport is delayed because federal funding reviews are slow; staff described the delay as part of a wider backlog in federal review rather than a project-specific issue. The same delay was mentioned for a RAISE grant application.
On demolition and environmental work, the administrator reported an asbestos-removal contractor is working with roll-off dumpsters on site to remove material; staff said work is proceeding without known snags. The administrator closed by listing other ongoing projects including airport, landfill and Lincoln Street work and reminded that the next regular council meeting is scheduled for Aug. 4, 2025.
