Board honors departing student representatives and names new student reps for 2025‑26

The Tigard‑Tualatin School District Board of Directors approved resolutions recognizing outgoing student representatives and announced the selection of new student representatives for 2025‑26.

The board voted to adopt six recognition resolutions honoring student representatives Britney Granados (TTVA), Evelyn Agosto Jeronimo (Tigard High School), Nathan Tran (Tigard High School), Mas Weigel (Tigard High School), Jamie Hartman (Tualatin High School) and Skye Roe (Tualatin High School). Chair Urban called for a voice vote after board members offered remarks of thanks, and the chair said “motion carries.” The resolutions will be added to the district record as Resolution 24‑25‑14 through 24‑25‑19.

Board members repeatedly praised the outgoing student representatives for bringing school‑level perspective to board deliberations and for their preparation and leadership. Several board members described how student reps asked questions the board had not considered and noted the value of having student voices at the table.

The board’s selection committee (Vice Chair Jaimez and Director Weston) reported the new student representatives for next year. From Tigard High School the committee selected Edie Keenan and Moss (full name not specified on record); from Tualatin High School the committee selected Sarah Masalmi and Ryland Baker. Vice Chair Jaimez and Director Weston said the committee interviewed a large pool of applicants and noted some no‑shows during the interview schedule; the committee encouraged future applicants including from TTVA and Creekside.

The board took the recognition vote and then invited the outgoing student representatives to come forward for a photo. No policy changes resulted from the recognitions; the resolutions are ceremonial and will be included in meeting records.
