The Planning Commission approved historic-district paint color changes for multiple downtown buildings owned by Artesian Group LLC on July 22, allowing a blue body color described as “Turkish tile” with white trim. Gary Oakes presented the requests. Commissioners voted to accept color changes for the building the Community Foundation will occupy and for adjacent properties that include the Main Street Grill, instructing painters to match substrates and ensure the two façades read consistently where buildings meet. The action was unanimous on both docket items. Commissioners noted the change will alter currently red-painted surfaces to the approved blue with white trim and asked staff and the applicant to ensure proper surface preparation and matching where the façades join.
