Larry Hare, a trust staff member, presented the award and said the project follows earlier awards for Pump Station O and the Konawa Pump Station. Hare told trustees the Stonewall bid came in under estimate by "about 3 to 4,000,000 dollars," and he characterized the contract amount as "just under $80,000,000." Trustees approved the award by motion during the meeting. Hare said the contract will be followed by smaller interim surge-station projects and two remaining pipe segments that the trust plans to bid later this calendar year. Trustees did not discuss additional funding details or contract contingencies in the public portion of the meeting.
