New elementary on track for August opening next year; electric-bus chargers planned at transportation center

"The ones that came with the grant will be at the bus barn transportation center," he said, and added that future expansion of chargers could be considered across the district or within city limits depending on needs and decisions by the RDC.
Commissioners discussed possible reuse of Centerton Elementary as a transportation hub; staff said those ideas are still in early, phase-1 discussions.
No formal actions were taken; the update served to inform commissioners about school construction timelines and charging-station siting options connected to grant-funded electric buses.
