The Board of Works reviewed two bids for a rebid of a sidewalk project on July 14 and decided to take the proposals under advisement for further review. Staff said the project was rebid primarily because a form had been omitted from the initial solicitation.
According to the staff presentation, Wallace Construction submitted a low bid reported as $1,379,791.19 (staff corrected a minute discrepancy in the last digits during the presentation). The Peterson Company submitted a higher bid of $1,612,927.00. Staff asked the board to take the bids under advisement and return a recommendation at the next meeting.
No procurement award was made at the July 14 meeting. Staff said they will review the bids and report back to the board with their findings at the next regular meeting.
