The Northampton Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously agreed to continue a variance hearing for an application by Thomas Reedy to add a fourth parcel to a shared driveway at 0 North Farms Road in Florence to Sept. 25 at 5:30 p.m.
The continuation was requested by the applicant and confirmed at the meeting; notice of the hearing had been published on June 26 and July 3, 2025. Board members said a Sept. 25 meeting at 5:30 p.m. was acceptable and would allow a quorum to hear the matter on that date. The board voted by roll call with all present members recorded in favor.
The hearing will remain open; no substantive discussion of the variance’s merits occurred at the July meeting. Board members also noted that the next scheduled meeting currently includes one item, the continued 74 Coasemeadow Road application (continued from June 26). Meeting participants said there were no members of the public present to address the board on matters not on the agenda.
The board moved and approved a motion to adjourn after taking the continuance; the hearing itself remains open until the continuation date. The applicant or interested parties may appear at the Sept. 25 session for further testimony or evidence related to the variance request.
