Uinta County Library to expand hours beginning Aug. 4

Uinta County’s library will change its public hours starting Aug. 4, the county commission heard July 22. The library board has approved the new schedule and the county posted notices on social media and local radio.
The new hours will be Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Library staff told commissioners the change is intended to allow more desk coverage, expanded programming and better public service.
The announcement was informational; no board vote was required. Library staff said they will promote the new hours on social platforms and through local media.
