District outlines Wright Brothers EMS site work, electrical schedule and tree removal concerns

The meeting packet lists a plan to install temporary fencing and complete three specific removals by mid‑August; staff said Idaho Power must still install or relocate a transformer and the district is dependent on the utility’s schedule for that work.

Trustees asked about tree removal in a shaded lunch area and whether new shade structures or a pavilion could be provided in place of trees where underground electrical work will prevent replanting. Staff said they would explore pavilion options similar to existing playground pavilions and noted that students rarely use the shaded fenced area at lunch in recent years because of supervision patterns.

The board requested staff provide follow‑up on tree replacement alternatives and confirmed the schedule expectation that electrical installation would begin as soon as permits are issued and Idaho Power completes transformer work.
