At an organizational meeting July 17, the Clark and Rex Parks Committee held officer nominations, adopted rules of order and set its regular meeting time for the third Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m. The committee said members should complete required paperwork and online FOIA training, and it approved the use of Robert's Rules of Order as its procedural guide. The meeting opened with nominations for chair and other officer housekeeping. A voice vote approved the chosen chair and adoption of Robert's Rules of Order. Committee members then confirmed the third-Thursday, 5:00 p.m. meeting cadence as their regular schedule. Committee staff distributed a packet of required signatures and trainings, which the group said should be returned for the record. The packet includes a code of ethics, nondiscrimination/harassment policy, remote participation policy and FOIA training; a committee member noted FOIA training is completed online and requires a sign-off. No formal roll-call vote listing individual yes/no tallies was recorded in the transcript for the officer election; the transcript records voice approvals for adoption of the rules and the schedule. Committee members closed the organizational portion and moved on to the regular meeting agenda.
