The Tuscaloosa City Council approved a series of routine but substantive consent and resolution items, including professional-services contracts, minor public-works contracts, budget amendments, a reappointment to a hospital board, and authorizations for general obligation warrants.
On the record the council: selected TTL Incorporated to provide environmental assessments for the Office of Community and Neighborhood Services; authorized agreements and amendments including an amendment to a contract with Richie Qualley Cutts; authorized a contract with Duncan Coker Associates, P.C.; approved TTL Incorporated for professional services for the 2025 citywide resurfacing project; and authorized minor public-works contracts with Forstall Company Inc., Renovations Plus LLC and Premier Service Company Inc. The council also authorized an agreement for information-technology professional services with Secure IT 360, LLC; a funding agreement with the Kentuck Museum Association, Inc.; a professional-services contract with Grama Matter Consulting; payment to USI Insurance Services LLC; a purchase from Game Time; and other routine items recorded on the consent docket.
The council approved an amendment (number 15) to the 2025 General Fund reserve for future improvements fund budget, amendment number 14 to the 2025 general fund budget, and amendment number 3 to the 2025 Elevate Tuscaloosa fund budget. The council also authorized issuance and payment provisions for General Obligation Warrant Series 2025A and Series 2025C and reappointed David Hudson Jr. to the DCH Board of Directors.
Other actions included authorizing a right-of-way permit to Ready Mix USA LLC and setting a public hearing date (Aug. 19) to consider adoption of zoning amendment number 16. The council approved annexation of a portion of bridle right-of-way from Thirtieth Avenue East into the corporate limits and amended exhibits A and B of section 19‑42 of the Tuscaloosa code. Many items were moved and seconded and adopted by unanimous consent as recorded in the meeting transcript.
