The LaSalle City Council approved a finance committee recommendation to enter an agreement with Lexipol to provide full implementation of a fire policy management system, including a fire policy manual and annual training bulletins, at a cost of $22,849.20.
A council member reported that the finance committee voted to recommend the purchase. The council adopted the recommendation during a roll-call vote; recorded votes included Aldermen LaViere, Herndon, Crane, Dimas, Thompson, Patak and Reynolds voting in favor.
Staff and council members noted the purchase would provide policy-management resources and training support for the fire department.
