City staff updated the Inclusion and Adaptive Living Commission on the schedule for the Regional Plan 2045 public review process. Staff said the public hearing draft of the plan would be posted online within the next week, followed by a summary of revisions and responses to public comments. The public comment period will last 60 days and will include both in-person and online hearing opportunities. Dates provided during the meeting include a Citizens Review Session on August 27 at 4 p.m. (part of the regular Planning and Zoning Commission meeting), Public Hearing No. 1 on September 10 at 4 p.m. tentatively at the Aquaplex, Public Hearing No. 2 on September 24 at 4 p.m. at City Hall, and a City Council hearing scheduled for October 9 (beginning at 3 p.m.) at City Hall where adoption is intended. Staff indicated the draft, comment responses and hearing logistics would be posted to the city website and that the commission would be notified when those materials become available. Commissioners requested the regional plan be added to a future commission agenda (options discussed for August or September), with staff proposing a half-hour regional plan slot on the Sept. 18 meeting to allow commissioners time to review the August town-hall-style session before the second public hearing.
