The Inclusion and Adaptive Living Commission voted to send a letter of appreciation recognizing the Downtown Library—s Disability Pride Month book stall and to copy the city manager, city council and the mayor. The commission also agreed to add the city—s economic vitality director, Heidi Hansen, to the letter distribution list. Commissioner Russ described the display as "an amazing bookstore" and recommended the commission express appreciation to library staff for facilitating the installation. Commissioners reviewed a draft letter on screen, suggested a minor typographical fix in the second paragraph and approved forwarding the revised letter; Russ moved the motion and a second was recorded. The chair said staff would update the date, include Ms. Hansen and send the letter within the week. The vote was taken by voice and the chair recorded a unanimous aye. Commissioners emphasized the importance of acknowledging businesses and city departments that support disability awareness and inclusion efforts.
