Interborough board recontracts superintendent for five-year term, adjusts contracts under PDE rule

Solicitor Rubio characterized the contract-termination step as a PDE procedural requirement. He said, “This is simply part of the bureaucracy of PDE as it comes, with regard to establishing commissions. It's a step that has to be taken pursuant to their regulations.”
Superintendent Bernadette C. Reilly thanked the board after the votes and expressed appreciation for the board’s support. She said, “I do just want to offer a sincere thank you to the board … I’m proud to be a Buck.” The board and superintendent also noted that these contracts align with the district’s ongoing projects and financial plans discussed elsewhere in the meeting.
All three personnel motions were moved, seconded and adopted on roll-call votes of 7-0. The transcript records the roll-call yes votes by Cleaver, Wilkin, Joseph, Harris, Goldsboro, Evans and Chabot.
