Copeland said the presentation is tentative and will change as the district finalizes FY 2024–25 closing numbers; the second-count enrollment and the certified millage rate were recently received and influenced the draft. Board member Miss Knight moved to advertise the budget; Miss Gibson seconded the motion. Trustees approved the advertising of the tentative budget in a 4-0 vote. Copeland said the district proposes a public hearing on Sept. 15 and will update the presentation and supporting material as numbers are finalized. No final tax rates or budgets were adopted at the meeting; the action authorized the required public notice and the next steps in the TRIM process.
