Dickson County commissioners approved a pilot policy July 21 for the county’s new Economic and Housing Development Corporation.
Economic development officer Terry Malone said the draft policy came from the corporation and that attorney Betsy Knotts helped draft the legal language. Malone asked the commission to approve the pilot policy "for their use." Commissioners moved and seconded the item and voted to approve it with no recorded opposition.
Next steps: The corporation will use the pilot policy in program operations; staff and counsel will return with implementation details or changes if needed.
