Auburn council adopts amended 2024 comprehensive water plan to reflect Bronwood water rights and Algona request

The Auburn City Council on July 21 adopted Ordinance 69-80 to amend the city's 2024 Comprehensive Water Plan (CWP), updating reference tables that describe water rights held for the Bronwood satellite water system and updating the city's reservoir storage analysis.

Councilmember Tracy Taylor moved the ordinance and said the amendments are required following a December 2024 CWP adoption and reflect a request from the city of Algona to purchase additional storage to meet that city's planning needs. The ordinance adopts the amended CWP prior to submittal to the Washington State Department of Health for final approval.
