Dalton — The Dalton City Council on July 21 approved a contract to migrate the city website from Municode to CivicPlus and to add an ADA compliance tool.
City staff said Municode was acquired by CivicPlus and that CivicPlus is phasing out older website designs. To maintain the city’s current site level, CivicPlus proposed a one-time migration fee of $7,500 and an ADA compliance tool priced at $4,000 per year. Staff presented projected costs for year two at $12,108 and said the contract includes a 5% annual appreciation factor.
Staff said that most peer Georgia cities use CivicPlus; the city’s communications director was present to answer questions. Council approved the contract renewal and migration.
