Parks and Recreation Commission elects Michael Kozhort chair, Nikki Drew vice chair

The Nantucket Parks and Recreation Commission on July 17 elected Michael Kozhort as chair and Nikki Drew as vice chair and approved other internal appointments and minutes. The votes cleared procedural hurdles and set commission representation for upcoming capital and community preservation work. Commission members also approved the minutes of the June 26 meeting. Commissioners nominated and confirmed Michael Kozhort as chair by acclamation after no additional nominations were made. The commission then nominated Nikki Drew for vice chair and confirmed her by roll call. Members also nominated Meryl (notes taker) and Jesse as the commission—s representative to the Community Preservation Committee; those nominations passed by roll call. The minutes of the June 26 meeting were approved by roll call vote. The officer selections were handled during the meeting—s organizational business before substantive agenda items.
