Penfield board elects officers; Aaliyah Elliman Turner named president, Krista Kamm vice president

At the July 15 reorganizational meeting, the Penfield Central School District Board of Education elected Aaliyah Elliman Turner as board president and Krista Kamm as vice president for the 2025–26 school year and administered oaths of office.
Nancy Bradstreet, director of communications and clerk pro tem, called the organizational meeting to order and opened nominations. A board member nominated "Dr. Aliyah Elliman Turner" for president; another board member seconded the nomination and the board voted in favor. Turner took the presidential oath at the Bay Trail Temporary District Office on July 15. The board then nominated and elected Krista Kamm as vice president and administered her oath.
Following officer elections the board approved the July 15 agenda, adopted the consent agenda items and moved through standard reorganizational approvals, including committee assignments and appointments. Several board members praised district staff during the reorganizational discussion. The meeting then proceeded to business items on the agenda.
