On July 21, 2025 the Hapra Horsham School District Board approved a first reading of revisions to Policy 707, which governs use of school facilities. The administration recommended changes to the policy’s application and fee schedule to account for the imminent opening of the new Keith Valley Middle School. The Policy Committee had recommended the first reading.
A first reading does not finalize policy changes; it places the revisions on the board’s calendar for additional consideration and required subsequent actions before adoption. Eric Connor Halston moved for first reading and Maggie Kisner seconded; the board recorded the vote in favor by voice vote and no opposition was recorded on the transcript.
The administration said the fee schedule revisions are integral to Policy 707 and were prompted specifically by the new building opening. The policy materials and a revised fee schedule will appear for continued consideration in a future meeting where the board may take final action.
