Trustees adopt six strategic board goals to guide district operations

Magnolia ISD trustees adopted six board goals intended to guide district priorities across central administrative areas. Superintendent and staff presented a goals framework developed in earlier training sessions and workshops; the goals align with the district vision statement "dedicated to being the best district in the state of Texas" and tie each goal to a senior leadership area. Board goals include: curriculum and instruction; administration and student services; communications and public relations; human resources; finance, facilities and technology; and support services. Trustees said the goals are intended to be measurable and to promote continuous improvement, and they approved the goals by motion (Stacia moved; Jordan seconded). Staff characterized the goals as multi-year guidance rather than single-year targets and said they will be used to set specific metrics and review progress annually.
