The council approved a July banner request for the Union Club Hotel and staff said the application and approval process are being revised.

"And I will say upfront that we are in the midst of re, designing the and the the application and updating it a little bit. Bit. So, probably going forward in January 1, some of the, the the request may be a little bit different," an unidentified staff member said while presenting the banner request.

The council moved and seconded approval and voted by voice to grant the banner request; the meeting transcript does not include a roll-call tally. Staff told the council that the application currently on file was submitted under the existing rules and that forthcoming changes will be implemented at a future date.

The action approves the specific banner request but does not change the overall banner-permit rules; staff indicated an updated application process would be presented later.
