Council declares Lafayette Theater items surplus, authorizes sale to Habitat Restore

Dave Payne, purchasing manager, told the council the Economic Development Department requested the surplus declaration so the items could be sold to Habitat Restore. "I have have a request from economic development department to, declare some items from the Lafayette Theater as surplus so that they can be hold be sold to the Habitat Restore," Payne said.
Council members moved, seconded and voted to approve the surplus declaration. The meeting record shows no public comment or opposition during the item.
No sale price or detailed inventory was presented on the record. The action authorizes the city to transfer designated theater items for resale through Habitat Restore under the city's surplus property procedures.
