Lafayette Waterworks to advertise bids for four flat-roof replacements

Steve Moore of Lafayette Waterworks asked the council to approve publishing bid documents to replace four flat roofs across three Waterworks facilities.
"We're requesting approval to publish and advertise the bids, May 30 and June 6 in the journal and courier," Moore said, adding that one of the buildings has two separate roofs and work will be tear-off and replace.
The council approved a motion to publish the notice to bidders. A council member noted that flat roofs "don't last forever"; Moore replied the roofs are in need of replacement. Advertising will proceed as scheduled.
