Council approves $14,756 change order for Miller Addition CDBG project to add ADA work

Jeremy Grenard, city engineer, presented change order No. 2 for the Miller Addition CDBG project, saying the city requested the contractor make additional Americans with Disabilities Act improvements while crews were on site.
"The amount of the change order is $14,756 bringing the overall contract amount to $185,942 which is an overall change order percentage of 9.14% and we're requesting your approval," Grenard said.
Councilmembers voted to approve the change order by voice vote. A council member asked whether more change orders were expected; staff said there was potential but one commenter (staff) indicated this might be the last one while work continues on the project.
The approval authorizes the contractor to proceed with the additional ADA work described in the change order; staff will continue to monitor the project and return if further changes are needed.
