Lafayette to advertise Greenbush Street CDBG sidewalk project; bids set for June 17

Jeremy Grenard, city engineer, asked the Lafayette City Council to approve advertising for the 2025 Greenbush Street Community Development Block Grant project, which would replace sidewalk, curb and gutter, drive approaches and curb ramps on the north side of Greenbush Street between Sagamore Parkway and Elmwood Avenue.
"If approved, the project will advertise May 30 and June 6, then bids will open on June 17," Grenard said. He told the council staff will return with a Phase 2 proposal for the south side of Greenbush Street at a later date.
The council confirmed that the north-side project is fully funded by CDBG dollars; there was no matching requirement for this phase. The council approved a motion to publish the notice to bidders by voice vote.
The city will bring a separate request later for work on the south side of Greenbush Street.
