The DC Everest School Board voted to approve the district's 10-year capital improvement plan for Fund 46, the trust fund dedicated to capital projects.
Jason Jablonski and facilities staff compiled the plan using principal walk-throughs and user-group feedback, and the document included projects completed in 2024-25 so the board has a historical record of recent work. The plan covers capital projects that Fund 46 will support and notes additional projects covered by the Fund 10 capital budget.
Board discussion touched on project timing and procurement. Superintendent Dr. Nye told the board the district is monitoring a procurement challenge that has affected the receipt and installation schedule for gym bleachers; staff said they remain optimistic about delivery. The plan also includes behind-the-scenes safety and technology upgrades, including door badge and camera replacements.
Outcome: a motion to approve the plan passed by voice vote.
Ending: board members thanked the facilities team and were informed that the plan will be posted with more detailed facility-study information and principal feedback as the district continues planning and project scheduling.
