The Oviedo City Council on July 21 voted to continue consideration of Resolution 4599-25, the mobility-fee interlocal agreement with Seminole County, to its Aug. 18 meeting. City staff told council members they met with county staff on July 14 to work through the council's directions and that a follow-up meeting with county officials is scheduled for July 29.
City staff recommended the continuance to allow remaining issues to be resolved with the county. "We had a very good session with them, we worked through the major things that the council had asked us to address," said Mr. Cobb, the staff presenter; he said staff still needed to "go back and talk with Mr. Paul on a couple of things" before finalizing the agreement.
Council moved and approved a motion to continue consideration to the Aug. 18 regular meeting; the motion passed on a roll call vote. The continuance preserves council's opportunity to review any revisions developed in the pending meetings with county staff prior to a final vote.
