The Board of Public Works and Safety approved pay application No. 5 for the Northeast Sanitary Sewer Extension Phase 2 on July 2, 2025, for Atlas Excavating Inc.

Engineering staff said the board had previously awarded the contract to Atlas Excavating Inc., and that contract modifications had revised the original contract amount of $988,120 to $1,637,938. The board reviewed documentation showing quantities placed in the field through May 31, 2025, and the project consultant Donahue and Associates and the engineering department recommended approval.

John Pike, director of engineering, recommended approval of pay application No. 5 in the amount of $21,795.28 and that $1,147.12 be placed into retainage. The board voted to approve the motion; the chair asked for ayes and announced the motion carried.
